Hey Hamama Friends!

Kombucha has been dubbed the “Elixir of Life” and “Tea of Immortality” because of its many health benefits. It contains a variety of vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and probiotics.

Some of the benefits claimed from consuming kombucha include:

  • Increased energy levels
  • Improved digestion and gut health
  • Better mood (helps with anxiety/depression)
  • Beneficial for weight loss
  • Boosted immunity

One of the best perks of brewing your own at home is that you can make the most unique and tasty recipes! We’re talking tonics, juice and so much more. You’ll never run out of creative flavor possibilities when it comes to Kombucha flavors. Here are a few recipes to get you hooked, I mean get you started! 😉️

Blueberry Lemonade

Already dreaming of those warm summer days on the porch sipping a nice cold glass of lemonade? Why not make it even better (and healthier) with some blueberry lemonade kombucha? The blueberries’ sweet taste compliments the tartness of the lemonade and will be sure to impress your guests at a house party or your next BBQ!

This recipe will make 1 liter of kombucha to be fermented in a 1-liter swing top bottle or air-tight amber growler. The recipe can be scaled to proportion if you are planning to make more bottles. Your raw kombucha should be left with a small amount of sweetness to allow for the culture to continue eating and therefore creating carbonation.

Spiced Apple Cider

Spiced apple kombucha is a great addition to any kombucha lover's recipe book. With its hit of spice of the ginger, the fragrant aroma of cinnamon, and the crisp & refreshing flavor of the apples, it's become a favorite of ours and soon will become one of yours!

Grapefruit Kombucha

Spring is on the horizon and this Grapefruit Kombucha is the perfect drink to celebrate warmer weather and sunshine. The grapefruit compliments the tangy flavor of kombucha and provides a refreshing & tart kick.

Mojito

Kombucha, lime and mint Mojito. Keep one of these in the fridge at all times to impress your guests or to transport yourself to the tropics. We suggest using green tea raw kombucha in the fermentation process as its light finish pairs well with the cooling mint and citrus from the lime. Tip - you can use this as a base to a refreshing and delightful cocktail!

Ginger Kombucha

Ginger kombucha is a staple flavor for most kombucha home brewers. With its perfectly spicy flavor and refreshing finish, the great taste is just an added bonus to its many health benefits.
